If the cargo is damaged:
- Damage report / Survey
- Emails related to the claim
- Commercial Invoice
- Photos showing AWB and product
- Evidence of destruction
If the cargo is lost /partial lost:
- Emails related to the claim
- Commercial Invoice
Timing is important:
Please submit the claim as soon as possible to avoid delay and possible refusal of the claim.
If the claim is for lost of cargo:
- Submit the claim within 10 days from receiving the consignment
- If there is proof of loss, and the claim is accepted by the airline, Champion will pay and refund you the money no later than 60 days from the date of submitting the claim.
How a claim is processed:
Once you have submitted the claim to us, we will aim to respond and resolve the issue within 30 – 60 days, where possible.
Under any circumstance, Champion cannot accept unauthorized credits or discounts from the invoices. First, the claim has to be submitted and accepted by the carrier provider.
Special Note:
Transport companies (airlines, shipping companies, inland) make a compensation payment, in accordance with the Montreal Convention Agreement. In accordance with the latter, the entire compensation calculation for any type of claim is made based on the merchandise and not on the freight. Freights are never paid by the carrier provider company (airline or shipping company), because they are not protected by any policy., Despite this, Champion will aim to dispute the claim in the most favourable way for the client.
