We understand your frustration, and we are doing all we can to help. To submit your claim successfully, please click on the button below, fill out and submit the form as soon as possible. Always include with your claim the relevant documents to support the claim.
Please submit the claim no later than 10 days from receiving the consignment.
The claims filed beyond the time limits, will be automatically denied and therefore will not be reviewed by the Airline. If no complaint is made within the time, then no action or credit can be brought against Champion Air Cargo or the Airline.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO FILE A CLAIM:
- Commercial Invoices
- Packing List
- Customs Report
- Proof of delivery (POD) (if available)
- Copy of the master air waybill and house air waybill
- Detailed statement of Claim fully describing details of loss/damage
- Proof of mitigation of loss, receipts or repair invoices
- Dump certificate proving cargo was destroyed as per local, state or governmental regulations. If a shipment is destroyed a letter from the claimant is required indicating why the cargo could not be used, repaired or salvaged
- Cargo survey: Performed by a licensed Surveyor (if available)
How a claim is processed:
Once you have submitted the claim to us, we will present it to the airline. If all documentation is correct and the claim is accepted, you will see the compensation amount reflected on your account as soon as it is credited.
Champion cannot accept unauthorized credits or discounts from the invoices.
Special Note:
Transport companies make a compensation payment, in accordance with the Montreal Convention Agreement. In accordance with the later, the entire compensation calculation for any type of claim is made based on the merchandise and not on the freight. Freights and duties are not paid by the carrier provider company (airline or shipping company), because they are not protected by any policy. Despite this, Champion will aim to dispute the claim in the most favorable way for the client.
